Hermès Blank Agenda Refill (Large Model) – $35 USD

Hermès is definitely a luxury brand that is well known for its quality and exclusivity. In some circles, the illusive Berkin bag is considered a better investment than real estate. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that if you aren’t ready to shell out the money for a Berkin or a Kelly bag, that you aren’t worthy of being treated like the QUEEN you are!

For my latest Fabulous Find, I bought the Hermès Blank Agenda Refill (Large Model) for $35 USD and I have exactly 3 problems with it:

Hermès has a huge exception list when it comes to their giftboxes. Fragrances , make-up, beauty products, books, equestrian or bulky items will not be shipped in their signature orange box tied with a Bolduc ribbon.
I don’t know what their definition of “large” is, but it definitely doesn’t align with mine. The agenda I bought was 5inches x 3inches. It is tiny. And the dimensions weren’t listed anywhere on their website!
No samples. Need I say more?

I felt snubbed by Hermès. I thought the blank agenda would make a cute journal (to keep notes on future Fabulous Finds!), but is clearly a no-go. This whole experience made me think – “why would I want to spend $4K on a bag with Hermès, when I could go to Dior and receive luxury quality and treatment”?

Website Overview

Now to give credit, where credit is due. The Hermès website is fairly easy to navigate. They have left the ability to sort by price and staying true their brand, they have a wide selection of equestrian products. This was one of the few websites that also had a unique color palette that didn’t center around black and white. Additionally there was a full baby and children’s section, which was impressive. One category that I personally thought was lacking was beauty. Their only beauty products were lipsticks. That being said, I appreciate that they didn’t create a beauty portfolio as an after thought, like some other luxury brands. No need to create a “Me Too” beauty portfolio just to say you did.
