CUUP Balconette Mesh Bra (Taupe) – $68 USD
It think its safe to say that mesh fabrics are my least favorite. They itch, they scratch, and they make me feel uncomfortable. That is not the case with CUUP. The mesh fabric is soft and silky. These have been the most comfortable bralettes that I’ve been able to find. Yes on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.
In terms of sizing, the band size is spot on. I would say considering going up a cup size otherwise you may get the “double” boob look where it cuts off. The straps do not cut, but are very secure. Especially when you change the tightness. The adjusting clasp doesn’t slide around (which is a MIRACLE!). Now the fabric. Aside from being non-itchy. It is sheer. And depending on your body colors and shapes, the bra may seem see-through. Especially depending on the color you buy! For example, my blush colored mesh bra is much more sheer than this taupe colored one.
And although the bras get delivered in a delicates bag, I personally recommend only handwashing and laying out to dry. One nick on the mesh and the bra’s aesthetic is gone. Although I still use the delicates bag for storing the bras!
One other note that I appreciated is that at purchase, you can ask for a free bra recycling bag. So if you have a bra that perhaps has had one too many wears, you can ship it back free of change.
