Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Illuminous Eyeshadow (97 New Moon) – $36 USD
Looks like we have made a full circle! When I first started the Fabulous Finds Series, it only made sense to start with the iconic brand – Chanel. To me, the brand stands for an old money aesthetic with an elegant cross between Rhode Island gilded ages and glamorous Paris fashion. So as this series has expanded, there have been a few brands that (backed by popular demand) I have decided to highlight a second (or maybe third) fabulous find.
This Fabulous Finds was inspired by fellow TikToker Hannah Stella (@mrshannahstella).
Although my make up routine is essentially the same day to day, I never really liked eyeshadow in the past… probably because I wasn’t great at finding colors that looked best with my complexion. However, I loved the basic make up look that Hannah was showing off and was impressed with how the New Moon eyeshadow pulled it together!
Starting off with the positives – free and fast shipping, beautiful packaging & complimentary gifts! This is something that I have come to painfully realize is very much a rare combo with luxury brands. Most have at least all, but very few have all three.
The eyeshadow itself is very creamy and silky. I would describe it like a soft mousse. It also came with a handy travel sized brush!
The only negative I would mention is that the palette doesn’t touch the edges of the glass container. So when I first opened it, I was definitely a little surprised and concerned. But overall, this is definitely an eyeshadow that I am excited to work into my make up routine!
