Fabulous Finds – Jimmy Choo Edition

Jimmy Choo Satin Lipstick (Tender Pink) – $65 USD

When it comes to the most comfortable stiletto’s on the market, Jimmy Choo is constantly praised for comfort and elegance. (Especially when compared to some Christian Louboutin red bottoms). And maybe Jimmy Choo chooses to spend their money on R&D when it comes to comfortable shoes / clothing… because when it comes to packaging… Jimmy Choo is in dead last.

This lipstick is beautiful. The applicator, the delicately carved design, the strength of the pigment and the velvety softness of the lipstick are exactly what you want when buying from a luxury brand. However, the unboxing experience makes commercial brands like MAC and Sephora seem like they’ve got some real game. Considered that this was probably the most expensive lipstick I’ve ever seen, I thought they would have put a little bit more effort into the packaging. Some stickers, a postcard, a thank you card, or even nice wrapping… nope. Not here. At least not today.

The best part of all, this was the second least expensive item on their website. The first was nail polish for $48 USD. Sorry Jimmy, I think we need a break. Its me, its you.
