Fabulous Finds – Canada Goose Edition

Canada Goose Twist Cashmere Ear Warmer – $150 USD

Yes we are in the dead of summer, but isn’t that the right time to fantasize about winter activities and snowy attire? I think so. šŸ™‚

Canada Goose falls into this very interesting category of clothing brands that started as intense sporting wear or intense weather wear companies. Where by default, their cliental was already exclusive since not everyone could afford the casual tour of the south pole or relaxing cruise through the Arctic Ocean. And unlike some traditional luxury brands, they couldn’t go cutting corners on product materials or quality. Otherwise that exclusive cliental list would slow decline as they froze to death in extremely cold temperatures and harsh landscapes. Therefore, because their clothes (essentially equipment) has a very specific purpose, their quality had to be maintained. Which in turn drove up prices. This is not the time for $800 dollar cheap cotton t-shirts with lousy stitching and a well known logo.

The Cashmere Ear Warmers fall into this category. Yes, they are cute and yes they are still pricey. However, they are made with 50% wool and 50% cashmere to blend warmth and luxurious quality into one. Now I don’t think these ear warmers will do much to save your ears from frost bite on an Arctic Ocean cruise, however they may just be the perfect bougie touch to an outfit on a commercial cruise to Alaska.
