Fabulous Finds – Gucci Edition

Gucci Fumus Bamboo Incense Sticks – $80 USD

Backed by popular demand, I couldn’t possibly have a Fabulous Finds’ series without including Gucci! Now when it comes to more affordable items on their website, generally that means their make up section. But to be honest, the quality didn’t translate well through the photos. And it almost seemed like an afterthought… “well if all our competitors are doing it…”.

So in the spirit of this series, I wanted to find something affordable AND interesting. The Fumus Bamboo Incense Sticks come with 20 individual red sticks in a beautifully wrapped Gucci giftbox. I also got a Gucci branded cloth bag, which I think that was there way of adding a shopping bag that was ecofriendly. The Gucci website did have varied types of incense stick holders, but unfortunately those aren’t as affordable.

If you do the math, it works out to $4 USD per incense stick. They smell INCREDIBLE and last about 2 hours to burn through a single stick. They remind me of when I lived in Vancouver, BC and would go to the local Buddhist temples to check out their beautiful art and statues. To be fair, the incense sticks sold there weren’t $80 a pop!

Taking into considering the free shipping, the gift wrapping, and that I actually LOVE the product. This is a 10 out of 10 for me!

Website Overview

The website gave off weird hipster vibes and unlike many of their competitors, Gucci didn’t seem to follow the color theme associated to their brand on their website. Website itself was easy to navigate (no de-activating of the sort by price function!). And what was impressive was that they had a children’s collection that had options for newborns! Now does your 6 month old need a Gucci branded onesie… thats a whole other question.
